P2089Inlet Camshaft Output Stage, Bank 1 - Above Limit/Open Circuit
Diagnosis conditions
- Battery positive voltage between 10 V and 16 V
- Time elapsed after engine start-up: 10 seconds
Possible fault cause
- Short circuit to B+ in triggering wire
- Open circuit in the triggering wire
- Fuse F9 faulty (fuse carrier in E-box, radiator tank)
- KE7 disconnection point disconnected
- Magnetic hydraulic valve faulty (short circuit or open circuit)
- DME control module faulty
Affected pin
DME control module connector B, pin 115, and magnetic hydraulic valve connector, pin 2
Diagnosis/troubleshooting
NOTE: If fault P2089 is identified, the camshaft remains in its initial position or returns to this position (no adjustment).
NOTE: The wiring for fuse F9 and magnetic hydraulic valve connector, pin 1, is routed via the KE7 disconnection point, pin 6.
