P2090Exhaust Camshaft Output Stage - Below Limit
Diagnosis conditions
- Battery positive voltage between 10 V and 16 V
- Time elapsed after engine start-up > 10 seconds
Possible fault cause
- Short circuit to ground in triggering wire
- Exhaust camshaft adjuster faulty (short circuit to casing)
- DME control module faulty
Affected pins
DME control module connector B, pin 120, and exhaust camshaft adjuster, pin 2
Diagnosis/troubleshooting
NOTE: If fault P2092 is identified, the camshaft rises to its maximum advance angle.
NOTE: The wiring for fuse F9 and exhaust camshaft adjuster, pin 1, is routed via the KE7 disconnection point, pin 6.
