CD Changer: Service and Repair

Removing And Installing CD Changer

NOTE: The CD changer is located behind the right rear side-panel lining.

WARNING: Risk of damage: Remove ignition key and switch off the audio system.

Removing CD Changer
Remove side-panel lining at rear right.







1. Undo the six fastening screws, lift out the CD changer and pull forwards "arrow".







2. Actuate detent "a" on the optical waveguide plug "1" and disconnect the plug.
3. Pull off plug "2".

Installing CD Changer







1. Insert plug "2" until it is felt to engage.
2. Insert waveguide plug "1" until it is felt to engage.







3. Position CD changer in the holder and screw it down with the six fastening screws. Tightening torque 6 Nm (4.5 ftlb.).

Install side-panel lining at rear right.
