Lifting the engine with a workshop crane

Lifting the engine
The engine must be detached from the transmission.
Danger:
^ Danger of injury by suspended loads!
^ Never work on or under the engine while it is suspended from the crane.
^ Danger of crushing during installation and removal. Never reach in between the engine and components.
^ Wear protective safety equipment.
1. Remove design cover from the cylinder bank 5 - 8. Unscrew the 4 fastening screws on the design cover.
2. To do this, place both hands at the edge of the cover facing the intake system and raise a little until it is released from the holder.
3. Lift the front of the design cover and remove it.
4. Insert the eyebolt 9700 in the opening on cylinder head 5 - 8.
5. Insert an M10 screw through the torque support bracket and secure it with a nut. Then attach the hook of the suspending device 3033.
6. Raise the engine carefully and balance it out.
