The auxiliary heater cannot be programmed.

Information:
This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Service Action on certain 2004 model year Cayenne S and Cayenne Turbo vehicles. The auxiliary heater cannot be programmed because of faulty software in the front air-conditioning control.

Therefore, we ask that the affected vehicles listed below have their front air conditioning control replaced during the Porsche Owners next visit to your workshop.





Affected Vehicles:
A total of 18 U.S and 1 Canadian vehicle fall within the scope of this Service Action. The affected Vehicle Identification Numbers are listed below:

Time Allowance:
50 TU which includes replacing the front air-conditioning control

Two slotted screwdrivers (medium)
Porsche System Tester 2 (PST2)

Work Procedure:
Replacing the front air-conditioning control

1. Remove front air-conditioning system regulator and replace with new front air-conditioning system regulator. See the Technical Manual, Group 8, Chapter 87 02 19.

Very Important!
The new air-conditioning system regulator control unit must be coded with the Porsche System Tester (PST2), see Technical Manual, Group 8, Chapter 37 02 19.

2. Enter the campaign into the Maintenance book.
