Removing the Dryer
WARNING: Danger of injury: Safety regulations should be strictly observed when working on air-conditioned vehicles and dealing with refrigerant.

NOTE The dryer is in the capacitor, on the right-hand side.
1. Remove air filter lid.
2. Pull rubber sleeve on capacitor out in upward direction -A-.
3. -A- Using a slide hammer kit, for example, push plug down and turn Seeger ring until accessible from air filter. Refer to, Tools.
4. -B- Remove Seeger ring using Seeger ring pliers. Refer to, Tools.
5. Screw hexagonal screw into plug and pull plug out in upward direction using slide hammer set, for example.
6. Lift dryer out in upward direction.
Installing Dryer
NOTE:
- The dryer must be replaced if the system suffers from operational faults (e.g. accident damage or air-conditioning system depressurized).
- Used refrigerant oil extracted from a previously run A/C unit must not be re-used.
- Replace O-ring on plug and wet with refrigerant oil.
1. Push dryer into capacitor.
2. Position plug and push down using slide hammer set, for example.
3. Fit snap ring using Seeger ring pliers.
4. Place rubber stoppers on plug and push down -B-.
5. Install air filter lid.
6. Determine quantity of refrigerant oil and fill up again with refrigerant oil (volume removed by suction + 20 Cu.cm).
