Removing Fusible Element From The Current Distributor
CAUTION: Risk of destruction of electrical and electronic components: Before removing fuses (fusible elements) from the current distributor, the battery must be disconnected.
1. Move the front left seat back and up as far as possible. Move the backrest as far forward as possible.
2. Detach the front seat trim "1" towards the front.
3. Flap the section of the carpet forward and remove the two fastening screws "2".
4. Tip the seat back as far as possible. With the seat in its tipped position, move the seat forward again using the fore-and-aft adjustment.
5. Open the 4 tension hooks on the battery case cover using a screwdriver.
6. Remove the battery case cover with ventilation channel.
7. Disconnect the minus cable "1" from the battery.
8. Lever out the current distributor cover using a screwdriver "1".
9. Unscrew the two hexagonal nuts from the blown fusible element and remove the element.
Installing Fusible Element In Current Distributor
1. Use a new fusible element and insert new fastening screws. Refer to 'Tightening torques' Tightening torque 4 Nm (3 ftlb.).
2. Slide the cover of the fusible element from the front to the back and press on until the clips lock in place.
3. Connect the minus cable "2". Refer to 'Tightening torques'
4. Replace the battery box cover carefully. The ventilation channel must be mounted properly.
5. Attach the 4 tension hooks in the battery case cover and close using the screwdriver.
6. Move the seat in its tipped position towards the rear and then tip forward.
7. Screw in the fastening screws "2". Refer to 'Tightening torques'
8. Clip in the front seat trim "1".
