Removing And Installing Oxygen Sensors Behind Catalytic Converter













CAUTION:
Danger of burns.
- Exhaust system can be very hot.
- Only remove the exhaust system when it has cooled down.
- Wear protective gloves.
- Always expose oxygen sensor cable so that the cable can turn when unscrewing or screwing in the sensor.
- Do not kink cable.

NOTE: Observe precautionary measures when working with oxygen sensors.

Installing oxygen sensors behind catalytic converter - Cayenne S (M48/00)

1. Position the oxygen sensor by hand and screw in as far as possible.
2. Tighten oxygen sensor with oxygen sensor wrench 97 and tightening torque of 40 - 50 Nm (30 - 37 ftlb.).
3. Install starter catalyst.







Tightening torques
