Fuel Pressure Regulator: Description and Operation
2458 Fuel Pressure Regulator
The pressure regulator is also built into the fuel tank below the right-side tank flange.
Fuel pressure, which is present right up to the fuel injectors, is about 4.0 bar from idle to wide-open throttle. The quantity injected is thus dependent on intake manifold pressure, which is measured by the DME control module when calculating injection duration.
