Overview of servo motor

1. Before starting to work on the servo motor for the transfer gear, engage the Low Range off-road driving programme.
2. Remove heat protection from cable plugs on servo motor.

3. Disconnect Low Range cable plug -arrow- on the servo motor and loosen cable holder -A-.

4. Pull center-differential lock cable plug -arrow- off the servo motor.

5. Unscrew servo motor screws on the transfer gear.

6. Remove servo motor and support.

Caution
Servo motor not fitted correctly
^ Risk of damage to servo motor electronics
^ Servo motor is sluggish


-> Fit servo motor by hand.

-> Do not use impact tools or strikers, e.g. a hammer.

Information
^ If a new servo motor is installed, it is supplied in Low Range position, off-road driving program.

1. Connect the servo motor to the shaft on the transfer gear. Position the cut-out on the shaft -right inset- in line with the servo motor -left inset-.

2. Screw in servo motor screws -arrows- on the transfer gear. -> Tightening torque: 27 Nm (20 ftlb.)
3. Screw in screws for servo motor support -arrows- on the transfer gear. -> Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)

4. Connect center-differential lock cable plug -2-, Low Range -1- and secure cable holder.

5. Fit heat protection to the cable plugs on the servo motor.
