Removing and Installing Rear Three-Point Belt
Removing Three-Point Belt, Rear
1. Fold seat cushion forwards.
2. Unscrew fastening screw -1-.
3. Remove backrest
4. Remove the side lining at rear.
5. Unscrew fastening screws -2- and remove the retainer frame from the backrest.
CAUTION:
- Danger of injury and damage to property as a result of incorrect handling of airbag units.
- Always observe the safety regulations for handling airbag units.
- The airbag unit must always be deposited so that the airbag opening faces upwards.
- If removed for an extended period, the airbag unit must be kept in a locked place.
- Remove ignition key. Disconnect the battery and cover battery terminal.
- After the battery is disconnected, always wait for 1 minute before disconnecting the airbag plugs.
6. Unfold protective cover on the connector -arrow A- and maintain in this position.
7. Release connector -arrow B- and pull off -arrow C-.
8. Release connecting socket -arrow A- and pull it off the clip -arrow B-.
9. Unscrew fastening screw -3- and remove the belt roller.
10. Unscrew fastening screw -4- and remove the seat belt.
Installing rear three-point belt
1. Insert belt roller -arrow- and tighten with the fastening screw -3-. Refer to, "Tightening torques".
NOTE: During installation make sure that the belt band runs in front of the belt deflection -arrows-.
2. Tighten deflection lug with the fastening screw -4-. Refer to, "Tightening torques".
3. Connect the connecting socket to the clip -arrow A- until it engages audibly -arrow B-.
4. Unfold cover -arrow A-.
5. Insert connector -arrow B- until the lock -C- can be felt engaging.
6. Tighten retainer frame on the backrest with the fastening screws -2-. Refer to, "Tightening torques".
7. Mount the side lining at rear.
8. Install backrest.
9. Pull three-point belt downwards -arrow- and tighten the belt end mount with the fastening screw -1-.
10. Connect the battery.
Carry out work instruction after disconnecting the battery.
Removing centre rear three-point belt
1. Remove backrest
2. Removing headrest
3. Removing armrest
4. Remove padding for rear backrest
5. Unscrew fastening screw -5- and remove the belt roller downwards.
6. Twist belt lock -arrow A- and insert in the belt guide -arrow B-.
7. Remove three-point belt -arrow C- downwards.
Installing centre rear three-point belt
1. Push three-point belt through the belt guide from bottom to top -arrow A-.
2. Twist belt lock -arrow B- and remove from the belt guide -arrow C-.
3. Position belt roller between the two guide pins -arrow- and tighten with the fastening screw -5-. Refer to, "Tightening torques".
4. Install padding for rear backrest.
5. Install armrest
6. Install headrest
7. Install backrest
