Battery Wiring Harness - Removing And Installing External Power Supply







Removing External Power Supply

CAUTION: Risk of injury and damage as a result of a short circuit: The ground lead for the battery must be disconnected before you start to remove the external power supply Refer to Work instructions after disconnecting the battery.

Remove front left covers (engine compartment cover).







1. Unscrew fastening screw "1" for the steering hydraulics servo oil reservoir.
2. Remove servo oil reservoir and lean it against the engine in an upright position. Caution - note engine temperature.







3. Open cover "A" near the positive terminal, unscrew the fastening nut and remove the B+ lead "3" in an upward direction.
4. Unscrew the fastening nut and remove the B+ lead "2" in an upward direction.







5. Unscrew the three fastening screws, remove the holder and turn it down by 180°.







6. Open the cover, unscrew the fastening nut and remove B+ lead "4" in an upward direction.
7. Lift external power supply up and out.

Installing External Power Supply







1. Position B+ lead "4" on the bottom of the external power supply and tighten with the fastening screw.
2. Close the cover cap until the cap engages.







3. Turn the holder by 180°, position it and tighten it with the three fastening screws onto the body.







4. Open the cover cap for the B+ screw connections. First position B+ lead "2" and tighten with the fastening nut, then position B+ lead "3" and tighten with the fastening nut.
5. Close cover "A" until the cover engages audibly.
6. Position steering hydraulics servo oil reservoir on the holder and tighten with fastening screw "1".
- Install front left covers (engine compartment cover).
- Connect ground lead for the battery and follow the working instructions after disconnecting the battery. Refer to Work instructions after disconnecting the battery
