Transmission Cooler: Service and Repair

Removing and installing ATF cooler
Removing ATF cooler
1. Remove lock mount.
2. Place oil collection pan under the ATF thermostat.





3. Unscrew AFT line nut on thermostat.
4. Lock line ends.





5. Remove retainer clip on ATF cooler.
6. Remove ATF cooler.

Installing ATF cooler
1. Insert ATF cooler.





2. Install retainer clips on ATF cooler.





3. Screw in AFT line nut on thermostat.
Tightening torque: 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.)
4. Install lock mount.
5. Check and if necessary top up the ATF.
