Checking and topping up oil for all-wheel final drive

Note: Use only oil approved by Porsche.

Checking oil for all-wheel final drive

Note:
^ Vehicle must be horizontal to check oil level in all-wheel final drive.

1. Remove engine guard.





2. Unscrew oil inspection plug -A- using the special inserts model AB 170 tool.

Note:
^ The oil level is correct if the oil reaches the lower edge of the inspection window.
^ If this is not the case, top up the oil.





3. Screw in oil inspection plugs -A- with new sealing ring. To do this, use the special tool, special inserts model AB 170, and the accessory for the torque wrench: open ring wrench insert a/f 13 + adapter 98-1 .
Tightening torque: 35 Nm (26 ft. lbs.)

Topping up oil for all-wheel final drive

Note:
^ Use only oil approved by Porsche.
^ Vehicle must be horizontal in order to fill axle final drive.





1. Unscrew oil inspection plug -A- using the special inserts model AB 170 tool.

2. Fill with oil to the lower edge of inspection plug -using the ATF filling device for filling transmission 161 .
Filling capacity: approximately 1.0 L





3. Screw in oil inspection plug -A- with new sealing ring. To do this, use the special tool, special inserts model AB 170, and the accessory for the torque wrench: open ring wrench insert a/f 13 + adapter 98-1 .
Tightening torque: 35 Nm (26 ft. lbs.)
4. Install engine guard.
