Removing and installing momentary-switch handle for spare wheel mount
Removing momentary-switch handle





1. Remove spare wheel mount.





2. Unscrew fastening screw -1- and carefully remove spring support for spare wheel.-2- -Tightening Torque: 19 ft lb. ± 2 ft lb.
3. Pull off adhesive strips and remove spacers -3-.





4. Pull out grommet -4- from the spare wheel mount.





5. Pull out wire harness -5- and grommet -4- from spare wheel mount (-arrow A-), until plug connection -6- is accessible.
6. Release plug connection -6- and disconnect it (-arrow B-).
7. Secure wire harness -5- to spare wheel mount using an adhesive strip.





8. Unscrew fastening screws -7- and remove momentary-switch handle-8-. -Tightening Torque: 2 ft lb.





9. Unclip cover for momentary-switch handle -9- and remove it.

Installing momentary-switch handle









1. Position cover for momentary-switch handle -9- and press it on.





2. Fit momentary-switch handle -8-, screw in fastening screws -7- and tighten to the specified tightening torque. -Tightening Torque: 2 ft lb.





3. Connect plug connection -6- until the locking tab engages audibly (-arrow A-).
4. Push wire harness -5- back into spare wheel mount (-arrow B-).





5. Fit grommet -4- on spare wheel mount.





6. Insert spacers -3a - 3c- at the positions shown and secure with adhesive tape to prevent them from falling out.
3a. Spacer: 3.1 mm
3b. Spacer: 4.3 mm
3c. Spacer: 5.1 mm





7. Carefully insert spring support for spare wheel -2-.
8. Screw in fastening screws -1- and tighten to the specified tightening torque. -Tightening Torque: 19 ft lb. ± 2 ft lb.
9. Remove spare wheel mount.
