Removing And Installing Wiring Harness For Door







Removing Wiring Harness For Door - Door Trim Panel
1. Remove door trim panel.

NOTE: Before removing door wiring harness, close door windows fully.







2. Detach insulation mat at bonding points "arrows" and remove.







3. Detach adhesive felt "arrow A" and move the lead from the installation position.
4. Undo fastening screw "1".
5. Pull air duct from mount "arrow B" and remove to the front "arrow C".







6. Pull lead off LED "arrow A".
7. Detach adhesive felts "arrows B" and remove the lead from the installation position.







8. Unplug lead to door opener "arrow".







9. Press out door warning light and the door interior light from the inside "arrow A".
10. Release plugs "arrows B" and pull off from the lights "arrow C".







11. Lever out the entire power window switch using a plastic spatula "arrow".







12. Press plug "a" and remove from power window switch "arrow".







13. Carefully lift and pull out switch panel using a plastic spatula.







14. Turn switch panel around, release the plug connection "a" and pull off "arrows".
15. Remove wiring harness.

Removing Wiring Harness For Door - Door Unit Carrier
1. Remove rearview mirror.
2. Remove door unit carrier.







3. Release both plugs on door lock "arrows A" and pull off "arrows B".
4. Pull away side-impact protection from door unit carrier "arrow C" and push forward both plugs between side-impact protection and door unit carrier "arrows D".







5. Unclip fastening clip using a release lever removal tool, universal 21 refer to 'Tools' "arrow".







6. Press rubber sleeve on cable for door opener out of the bore "arrow A".
7. Lift cable "arrow B" and pull out both leads underneath "arrow C".







8. Press out rubber sleeve to the inside "arrow" and pull both leads through the opening.







9. Release both plugs "arrow A" and pull off "arrow B".
10. Release plug on loudspeaker "arrows C" and pull off "arrow D".







11. Unclip wiring harness using a release lever "a" removal tool, universal 21 refer to 'Tools' "arrows".







12. Press out rubber sleeve to the inside "arrow A".
13. Pull out wiring harness on the outside "arrow B".

Removing Wiring Harness For Door - Door Unit Carrier







1. Push wiring harness and rubber sleeve through the opening from the outside to the inside "arrow A".

NOTE: After installation, the rubber sleeve must run up to the A-pillar.

2. Press rubber sleeve into door unit carrier from the inside "arrow B" until it is felt to engage "arrows".







3. Clip wiring harness to door unit carrier "arrows".







4. Insert power window plugs "arrow A" until locking tab "B" is felt to engage.
5. Insert loudspeaker plug "arrow C" until locking tabs "D" are felt to engage.







6. Feed lead to door lock through the opening to the outside "arrow A".
7. Lift cable "arrow B" and push through both plugs underneath "arrow C".







8. Clip in lead "arrow A".
9. Press rubber sleeve on cable for door opener into the opening "arrow B" until it is felt to engage.







10. Press rubber sleeve into the opening from the inside "arrow" until it is felt to engage.







11. Lift side-impact protection "arrow A" and push both plugs to the rear between side-impact protection and door unit carrier "arrows B".
12. Insert both plugs "arrows C" until locking tabs "D" are felt to engage.
13. Install door unit carrier.
14. Install rear-view mirror.

Installing Wiring Harness For Door - Door Unit Carrier







1. Insert both plugs in switches for rear lid release and filler flap "arrows A" until locking tabs "B" are felt to engage.







2. Position switch panel in the door panel and press in "arrow" until it is felt to engage.







3. Insert electrical plug connection in power window switch "arrow" until it is felt to engage.







4. Insert power window switch in door trim panel and press it in "arrow".
5. Make sure power window switch is positioned evenly on the gap.







6. Push plugs onto both lights "arrow A" until locking tabs "arrows B" are felt to engage.
7. Insert both lights into door trim panel and press in "arrow C" until they are felt to engage.







8. Push plug onto door opener "arrow" until locking tabs are felt to engage.







9. Connect plug to alarm system LED "arrow A" until locking tab is felt to engage.
10. Position lead and secure with adhesive felt "arrows B".







11. Insert air duct "arrow A" and press on front cover "arrow B" until it is felt to engage.
12. Secure air duct with fastening screw "1".
13. Secure lead with adhesive felt "arrow C".







14. Apply adhesive to door trim panel "arrows" and stick in insulating mat.
15. Install door trim panel.
