Removing stop light switch

Overview of stop light switch:

1. Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.

Disconnecting plug for stop light switch:

2. Disengage plug from stop light switch on both sides (Arrows a) and remove.

Removing stop light switch:

3. Turn brake light switch 90° counter-clockwise and remove it.

Installing stop light switch

NOTE:
- The brake light switch setting is firmly fixed and is not adjustable.
- The brake light switch may be fitted only once in order to ensure that it fits tightly.

Installing stop light switch:

1. Before fitting the stop light switch, pull out the plunger (arrow) out of the stop light switch until the stop.
2. Insert stop light switch with the bayonet lock take-up bore, press in, and turn clockwise by 90°. This sets the tappet push rod to the exact length.

Connecting stop light switch plug:

3. Position and insert the plug until it is felt to engage.
