Removal and Replacement

Tools and materials
Wheel mounting trolley Master Wheel 50 with optional door mount.






Preliminary work
Disconnect electric lead for door.

Removing door

Releasing hinge joint






1. Unscrew fastening screws -1- on hinge joint -2-. Support the doors if necessary to prevent damage.
- Master Wheel 50 T wheel mounting trolley with door removal device can be used to do this.






Releasing door latch snib on body side






1. Unscrew fastening screw -3- from the door latch snib -4-.






Removing door






1. Lift the door -5- up slightly until the hinge bolts -6- are extended out of the hinge halves on the door side.






2. Take off the door -5-.

Installing door






NOTE: Before inserting the door, the upper and lower hinge joint must be lubricated.

1. Engage the door -5- in the hinge bolts -6- from above. Support the doors if necessary to prevent damage.

Fastening the hinge joint






NOTE: To ensure that the tapered seat of the hinge is positioned without tension, it may be necessary to take the door hinges off the door if:

- A new bare door shell is installed.
- The bare door shell was or is damaged.
- The bare door shell has no seam joining line.

1. Refer to Adjusting front door if necessary

Tighten fastening screws M6 x 12 -1- on the hinge joints -2-.
Tightening torque: 13 Nm (9.5 ftlb.)






Fastening door latch snib on body side






1. Screw down door latch snib -4- using fastening screw M8 -3- to the body.
Tightening torque: 22 ftlb.






Subsequent work

Reworking
Lock electric lead for door.
Adjust front door.
Insert power windows.
