12 Volt Receptacles

NOTE: Important note on the use of additional electrical devices (12 volt loads which are normally operated via the cigarette lighter receptacle):

In the Porsche Sports Cars manufactured to date, the cigarette lighter was the only option for connecting additional electrical devices to the power supply. These "device adapters" may permanently deform the bimetal in the cigar lighter and may even "blow" the internal fuses.

In addition to the conventional cigarette lighter, a special 12 volt socket is located in the large storage compartment in the center console and an additional 12 volt socket is installed on the side of the center console in the front passenger footwell to enable the connection of additional electrical devices.







It is imperative to use these receptacles instead of the cigarette lighter when using additional electrical devices.
