1. Remove automatic transmission.
2. Remove torque converter.

Information: Screw in hook VW 681 directly behind the sealing lip, otherwise the mounting-face ring will be damaged.

1. Remove sealing ring for torque converter with hook VW 681.

Installing the torque-converter sealing ring
1. Check mounting-face ring -2- for damage and replace if necessary.

2. Thinly grease outer circumference and sealing lip of sealing ring with Vaseline.
3. Drive in sealing ring up to the stop with assembly sleeve 3295.
