Removing and installing front halfshaft flange

Preliminary work

1. Raise the vehicle at the specified jacking points.
2. Remove front underbody panel.
3. Remove front drive shaft.
4. Place oil collection pan under the transmission.

Removing front halfshaft flange

1. Lever off halfshaft flange with a mounting lever.

Installing front halfshaft flange

1. Replace circlip for the halfshaft flange. To do this, clamp the flange in the vice with a hexagon-head bolt -B- and press the circlip out with the new circlip -A-.

2. Grease circlip for easier fitting.
3. Drive halfshaft flange into transmission using a rubber hammer.





Driving in halfshaft flange

Subsequent work

1. Install front drive shaft.
2. Check oil for front final drive and top up if necessary.
3. Fit front underbody panel.
4. Lower the vehicle.
