Removing And Installing Lid Hinge

Preliminary work

Remove rear lid. Refer to Remove and install rear lid.

Remove rear gas spring. Refer to Remove and install rear gas spring.

Removing rear lid hinge

INFORMATION: If the rear lid hinge fails to work properly, it can be replaced without having to remove the rear lid. In such cases, a second person is required to hold the lid open during the repair process.

1. Unscrew -1- fastening screws.







2. Remove -2- lid hinge.

Installing rear lid hinge

1. Roughly align -2- lid hinge using the old marks.







2. Screw in fastening screws -1- and tighten: 7.2 ftlb..

Subsequent work

Install rear gas spring. Refer to Remove and install rear gas spring.

Install rear lid. Refer to Remove and install rear lid.
