Preliminary work

1. Raise the vehicle at the prescribed jacking points.
2. Remove support plate.
3. Place oil collection pan under the transmission.

Information: Protect drive shafts against mechanical damage (e.g. with a rubber hose which has been cut open).

1. Remove left drive shaft on transmission side. To do this, unscrew the six Allen screws joining each drive shaft and transmission flange. Counter at the wheel or activate the parking brake to avoid simultaneous turning.

2. Remove halfshaft flange. To do this, place a suitable support -B- under the halfshaft flange and press the halfshaft flange out of the transmission by screwing in a screw -A-.

1. Replace the circlip for the halfshaft flange. To do this, clamp the halfshaft flange in a vice using a screw -B- and press out the circlip with the new circlip -A-.

2. Grease circlip and drive in halfshaft flange using a rubber hammer.
3. Fit left drive shaft on transmission side. To do this, screw in the six Allen screws joining each drive shaft and transmission flange and tighten screws. Counter at the wheel or activate the parking brake to avoid simultaneous turning.

Subsequent work

Subsequent work
1. Check transmission oil and, if necessary, top up.
2. Fit support plate.
3. Lower the vehicle.
