Position Of Inlet Camshaft Vis-a-vis Crankshaft (In V8: Bank 1) - Above Limit Value/below Limit Value

Diagnostic conditions
- Battery positive voltage between 10 V and 16 V
- Time after engine starts greater than 10 seconds

Possible cause of fault
- Timing set incorrectly
- Chain extended
- Inlet camshaft loosened
- Rotor of inlet camshaft sensor (in V8: bank 1) in incorrect position
- Inlet camshaft sensor (in V8: bank 1) not installed correctly

Diagnosis/troubleshooting

NOTE: Fault 'P0016 - below limit value/above limit value' is set if the specified adjustment range (V8 = ± 12 °NW and V6 = ± 13.5 °NW) is not observed.
