Position Of Exhaust Camshaft Vis-a-vis Crankshaft - Above Limit Value/below Limit Value

Diagnostic conditions
- Battery positive voltage between 10 V and 16 V
- Time after engine starts greater than 10 seconds

Possible cause of fault
- Timing set incorrectly
- Chain extended
- Exhaust camshaft adjuster loosened
- Rotor of exhaust camshaft sensor in incorrect position
- Exhaust camshaft sensor not installed correctly

Diagnosis/troubleshooting

NOTE: Fault 'P0017 - below limit value/above limit value' is set if the specified adjustment range (± 13.5 °NW) is not observed.
