Removing And Installing Wiring Harness For Starter Battery

Preliminary work
1. The battery ground strap must be disconnected before starting disassembly work.
2. Remove front left covers (engine compartment).

Removing wiring harness for starter battery







ATTENTION:
Risk of injury and damage due to short circuit.
- The battery ground lead must be disconnected before starting disassembly work.







1. Open cover -a- next to positive terminal, undo fastening nut -1-and remove B+ line upwards -Arrow A-.
2. Undo fastening nut -2- and remove B+ line upwards -Arrow B-.
3. Open cover -Arrow A-.







4. Undo fastening nut -3- and remove B+ line from threaded bolt -Arrow B-
5. Undo fastening screws -4- and remove external power connection upwards -Arrow C-.

Installing wiring harness for starter battery
1. Insert external power connection -Arrow A- and tighten with fastening screws -4-.







2. Place B+ line on bottom of external power connection -Arrow Band tighten with fastening nut -3-.
3. Close cap -Arrow C- until locking tab is felt to engage.
4. Open cap -a- for B+ threaded joint.







5. Fit front B+ line -Arrow A- and tighten with fastening nut -1-.
6. Fit rear B+ line -Arrow B- and tighten with fastening nut -2-.
7. Close cap -a- until locking tab is felt to engage.

Subsequent work
1. Install front left covers (engine compartment).
2. Connect battery ground strap and carry out work instructions after disconnecting the battery.
