Preliminary work - removing CD changer
1. Carefully push a screwdriver between CD changer trim panel and carpet.
2. Reach into the gap between carpet and CD changer trim panel and lift the trim panel up and off.
Removing CD changer
1. Unscrew the six fastening screws -1- and pull the CD changer out of its retaining frame.
CAUTION:
Voltage peaks can damage the audio system.
- Before unplugging/removing audio components, remove ignition key and switch off audio system.
2. Release the electric connectors and unplug them.
3. Unscrew the three fastening nuts -2- and take off both retaining frames.
Installing CD changer
INFORMATION: If a new CD changer is installed, the adjusting screw must be in position V.
1. Place the retaining frame onto the threaded pins and screw down using the three fastening nuts -2-. - Tightening torque: 6.5 Nm (5 ftlb.)
2. Plug the electric connectors into the CD changer until they are felt to engage.
3. Insert the CD changer into its retaining frame and screw down tight with the six fastening screws. - Tightening torque: 2.5 Nm (2.0 ftlb.)
Subsequent work
Subsequent work - CD changer
1. Slide cover over the CD changer and engage it.
