General

The wide body of the new 911 Turbo (997) is essentially based on the current 911 Carrera 4 (997) models. The new exterior design of the current 911 generation was adopted in principle, including new headlight generation, curved handles and aluminium front hood. Similar to the 911 Turbo (996), differentiation was achieved by redesigning the Turbo-specific elements such as front and rear aprons, rear side panels with additional openings for the charge air coolers and the rear lid with widened, extendable wing element.
