Rear Lid







The rear lid with extendable spoiler element was developed based on the 911 Turbo (996) design. The specific form of the new spoiler profile results in a further improvement in aerodynamic behavior. The extension height was redefined as a result of the higher effectiveness of the spoiler in order to ensure aerodynamically balanced driving dynamics. The extension height on the new 911 Turbo is now 35 mm compared with the extension height of 70 mm on the 911 Turbo (996).







The inside of the lid is equipped with a new engine-compartment light, an improved mounting for fan connection and two separate intake ports for the air cleaner. The material used is a very light, thin-walled and extremely rigid fiber composite.
