The electrical equipment of the new 911 Turbo (997) largely corresponds to that of the current 911 (997) generation. Detailed information can be found in the Service Information Technik brochure 911 Carrera (997), model year 2005.

The most important features adopted from the current 911 generation include:
- Headlight and tail light design.
- Electronic ignition lock, including new ignition key.
- Instrument cluster.
- New switches and controls in the center console.
- Interior lighting, including footwell lighting.
- Multifunction steering wheel (optional).
- Additional stopwatch on the dashboard (with "Sport Chrono Package Turbo" optional).
- Seat occupancy detection.
- Control unit networking via CAN bus.
- Audio and control data networking via MOST bus.
