Removing And Installing Auxiliary Brake Light
Removing auxiliary brake light
1. Remove the left air guide.
1.1. Unscrew the screw-in pin -1- and remove the clip -2- ( -Arrow A- ).
1.2. Fold the air guide down -Arrow B- and remove it -Arrow C-.
2. Release the left side of the auxiliary brake light using a long screwdriver -Arrow A- and remove it carefully by pressing it backwards -Arrow B-.
INFORMATION: The auxiliary brake light lens juts out over the light housing and can break at the ends if the removal procedure described here is not followed.
3. Remove auxiliary brake light.
3.1. Press the auxiliary brake light as far as it will go to the right -Arrow A- and pull out the left side -Arrow B- until the connector no longer reaches into the opening.
3.2. Carefully remove the auxiliary brake light by moving it to the left -Arrow C-.
4. Release the connector -Arrow A- and pull it off -Arrow B-.
Installing auxiliary brake light
1. Push the connector onto the auxiliary brake light -Arrow A- until the locking lug -B- is felt to engage.
2. Install auxiliary brake light.
2.1. Guide the connector side of the auxiliary brake light into the opening -Arrow A-.
2.2. Push the auxiliary brake light in evenly on both sides -Arrows B- until the locking lugs -a- engage securely.
3. Installing left air guide
3.1. Remove the remains of the old double-sided adhesive tape strips -a- and stick on strips of new double-sided adhesive tape.
3.2. Insert the air guides -Arrow A- and fold them up -Arrow B-.
3.3. Insert the clip -2- and press in the screw-in pin -1- ( -Arrow C- ).
