1 - Temperature sensor

Preliminary Work

1. Disconnect the battery.
2. Remove pressure pipe.
3. Remove air cleaner housing.
4. Remove oil-filter console.
5. Remove generator.

Removing temperature sensor

1. Lift up cable rail.
1.1. Loosen and remove screws -2- on the cable rail -1-.
1.2. Unclip hydraulic lines at the cable rail.
1.3. Press cable rail upwards.

2. Remove temperature sensor.
2.1. Pull off cable plug.
2.2. Loosen and remove temperature sensor -2-. Close off opening with a stopper.

Tool recommendation: Crowfoot wrench Nr.189-1 and 3/8 to 1/4-inch adapter (for example Hazet 858-1).

Installing temperature sensor

1. Install temperature sensor.
1.1. Remove stopper and insert temperature sensor -2- into the coolant connection piece by hand.
Tighten temperature sensor.

- Tightening torque: 20 Nm (15 ftlb.)

1.2. Connect cable plug.

2. Fit cable rail.
2.1. Position cable rail -1-.
2.2. Clip in hydraulic lines at the cable rail.
2.3. Fit and tighten screws -2-.

- Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)

3. Check engine coolant level and top it up if necessary.

Subsequent Work

1. Install generator.
2. Install oil-filter console.
3. Install air cleaner housing.
4. Install pressure pipe.
5. Connect the battery.
