Preliminary work

1. Remove trim panel for rear lid hinge. -> 709119 Removing and installing rear lid hinge trim panel - section on "Removing" 709119 Removing and installing rear lid hinge trim

Information

- If the rear lid hinge fails to work properly, it can be replaced without having to remove the rear lid. In such cases, a second person is required to hold the lid open during the repair process.

2. Remove rear lid.

1. Unscrew fastening screws -1-.





Remove rear lid hinge

2. Remove rear lid hinge -2-.

Installing rear lid hinge

1. Roughly align rear lid hinge -2- with the old marks.





Installing rear lid hinge

2. Tighten fastening screws -1-.=> tightening torque: 23 Nm (17 ftlb.)

Reworking

Subsequent work

1. Install rear lid.
2. Install trim panel for rear lid hinge. -> 709119 Removing and installing rear lid hinge trim panel - section on "Installing" 709119 Removing and installing rear lid hinge trim
