Removing And Installing Rear-View Mirror

Removing rear-view mirror

Removing trim panel for mirror triangle







1. Carefully lever out trim panel for mirror triangle -1- using a plastic wedge -arrow A- and pull upwards -arrow B-.







2. Release electric plug connection -2- (-arrow C-) and pull off connector -2- (-arrow D-).
3. Remove trim panel for mirror triangle -1-.

Removing seal for mirror triangle

1. Pull out seal for mirror triangle from cable cutout opening for door mirror.







Disconnecting plug connection for rear-view mirror







1. Pull plug connection -1- off the rear-view mirror -2- (-arrow-).







Removing rear-view mirror

1. Unscrew fastening screws -1- (-arrow-) and remove rear-view mirror -2-.







Installing rear-view mirror

1. Fit rear-view mirror -2- and secure with the fastening screws -1- (-arrow-). Tightening torque: 6 Nm (4.5 ftlb.)







Locking plug connection for rear-view mirror

1. Insert plug connection -1- into the rear-view mirror -2- (-arrow-).







Fitting seal for mirror triangle

1. Stick seal for mirror triangle at cable cutout opening on door mirror to the basic door frame.







Installing trim panel for mirror triangle







1. Lock the electric plug connection -2- until it engages securely.







2. Hook the cover -1- into the door triangle from above -arrow E- and press into the fastening clips on the underside -arrow F- until it engages securely.
