Changing oil in front final drive





Preliminary work

Danger
Vehicle raised incorrectly.
^ Danger of fatal injury or material damage should the vehicle fall down.

- Raise the vehicle at the prescribed jacking points.

1. Jack and raise the vehicle at the prescribed jacking points.
2. Remove front underbody panelling.
3. Place oil collection pan under the transmission.

Draining oil for final drive

Caution
Oil fill level too low
^ Risk of damage to components

- Do not start engine.

- Do not tow the vehicle.

1. Unscrew oil filler screws -A-.

Hot fluid
^ Danger of scalding

- Let the fluid cool down.

- Wear personal protective gear.

2. Unscrew oil drain plug -B- and drain transmission oil.

Filling in oil for final drive

1. Clean oil drain plug -B- and screw in with a new sealing ring.

- Tightening torque: 28 Nm (21 ftlb.)

2. Fill in transmission oil until oil emerges at the oil inlet bore.

Information
Fill only with oil approved by Porsche.

Caution
Oil fill level too low
^ Risk of damage to components

- Do not start engine.

- Do not tow the vehicle.

- Filling capacity: 1.5 liters

3. Clean oil filler screw -A- and screw in with a new seal.

- Tightening torque: 28 Nm (21 ftlb.)

Subsequent work

1. Install front underbody panelling.
2. Lower the vehicle.
