Component overview
Oil/coolant heat exchanger (oil cooler)
Removing oil/coolant heat exchanger (oil cooler)
1. On vehicles with PDCC, loosen the hoses on the oil guide housing.
1.1. Remove two nuts. -arrows-
PDCC lines
1.2. Unclip line under the air conditioning compressor -arrow-. Lift the lines aside.

2. Place a collection pan under the oil/coolant heat exchanger (oil cooler). Coolant and oil will run out during disassembly.
3. Loosen the clips on the coolant hoses at the oil/coolant heat exchanger and slide them onto the hoses -1 and 2-.

3.1. Clamp the hoses using hose clamp 3093 or hose clamp 3094.
3.2. Pull off the hoses.
4. Unclip the coolant hose assembly on the oil/coolant heat exchanger (oil cooler) from the holder. -6-

6. Remove seals. -6- Clean sealing faces.
Installing oil/coolant heat exchanger (oil cooler)
1. Replace the two sealing rings.

1.1. Then move the oil/coolant heat exchanger into installation position and fit the fastening screws (turn screws by hand initially). The old self-tapping screws can be re-used. Tighten screws evenly and diagonally.
2. Clip the coolant hose assembly into to the oil/coolant heat exchanger (oil cooler).
3. Fit the coolant hoses on the oil/coolant heat exchanger and remove the hose clamps.
