Preliminary work

Remove trim panel for rear lid. -> 708719 Removing and installing trim panel for rear lid - section on "Removing" 708719 Removing and Installing Lining For Rear Lid

Removing tilt sensor for rear lid





Installation position of tilt sensor for rear lid

1. Unscrew fastening screws -1- and remove tilt sensor for rear lid along with the holder -2-.

2. Release connector -arrow A- and pull it off the rear-lid tilt sensor -arrow B-.

3. Remove fastening nuts -1- on the fastening screws -2- and remove tilt sensor for rear lid -3- from the holder -4-.

Installing tilt sensor for rear lid

1. Position tilt sensor for rear lid -3- on the holder -4- and secure with the fastening screws -2- and fastening nuts -1-. => Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)

2. Plug in connector on tilt sensor for rear lid -arrow- until the connector engages securely.

3. Position tilt sensor for rear lid together with the holder -2- on the rear lid and secure with the fastening screws -1-. => Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)

Subsequent work

Install trim panel for rear lid. -> 708719 Removing and installing trim panel for rear lid - section on "Installing" 708719 Removing and Installing Lining For Rear Lid
