Preliminary work

1. Remove engine guard. -> 108019 Removing and installing engine guard - section on "Removing" 108019 Removing and installing engine guard (underbody panelling)

1. Unscrew fastening screws -1- and remove the heat shield -Arrow-.

2. Release the connector -Arrow A- and pull it off -Arrow B-.

3. Remove the socket from the bracket -Arrow C-.
4. Open the clip -Arrow A- and remove the line -Arrow B-.





Disconnecting multi-functional switch

5. Release the connector using an angled piece of wire (approx. 2 mm in diameter) -Arrow C- and push it down off the multi-functional switch -Arrow D-.

Installing Tiptronic wire harness

1. Push the connector onto the multi-functional switch -Arrow A- until the locking lug -B- is felt to engage.





Inserting multi-functional switch and clipping in line

2. Insert the line into the clip -Arrow C- and close the clip -Arrow D-.
3. Insert the socket into the holder -Arrow A-.





Connecting Tiptronic wire harness to main wire harness

4. Push in the connector -Arrow B- until the locking lug is felt to engage -C-.
5. Place heat shield in installation position -Arrow- and secure with fastening screws -1-.

1. Fit engine guard. -> 108019 Removing and installing engine guard - section on "Installing" 108019 Removing and installing engine guard (underbody panelling)
