Removing And Installing Wire Harness For Centre Console

Preliminary Work

1. Remove centre console.


Removing Wire Harness For Centre Console










1. Remove light in oddments tray.







1.1. Lever out the light in the oddments tray using a screwdriver -Arrow A- and remove it.
1.2. Release the connector -Arrows B- and pull it off -Arrow C-.







2. Unscrew fastening screws -1-.
3. Remove the centre console vent.







4. Unscrew fastening screws -1- and remove air duct in a downward direction -Arrow-.







5. Remove contact switch in oddments tray.
5.1. Press in contact switch -Arrow A-.
5.2. Release the contact switch with a small screwdriver -Arrows B- and take it out of the bracket -Arrow C-.







6. Release the connector -Arrow A- and pull off the contact switch -Arrow B-.







7. Carefully press the frame down using a screwdriver -Arrow A- and remove the wire harness -Arrows B-.







8. Release the socket -Arrow A- and pull it off the clip -Arrow B-.

Installing Wire Harness For Centre Console







1. Carefully press the frame down using a screwdriver -Arrow A- and place the wire harness in installation position -Arrows B-.







2. Push connector onto the clip -Arrow A- until locking lug -B- is felt to engage.







3. Push contact switch onto the connector -Arrow A- until the locking lug -B- is felt to engage.







4. Press the contact switch against the oddments tray in the centre console -Arrow A- and clip it in -Arrow B- until the locking lugs -C- are felt to engage.
5. Install light in oddments tray.







5.1. Push the connector onto the light -Arrow A- until locking lugs -B- are felt to engage.
5.2. Clip in the light in the oddments tray -Arrow C-.







6. Insert the air duct from below -Arrow- and secure with fastening screws -1-.







7. Secure the oddments tray with fastening screws -1-.
8. Install centre console vent.

Subsequent Work
1. Install centre console.
