Installation position of PDCC reservoir

General warning notes

Warning notes for PDCC

CAUTION

Increased risk of accidents and material damage if too much Pentosin CHF 202 is filled in or if Pentosin CHF 202 comes into contact with the coolant hoses when filling or topping up.

- It is possible to overfill the system, causing Pentosin CHF 202 to overflow onto coolant hoses and other components.

-> The engine must be run for approx. 20 seconds prior to checking the fluid level.
-> If coolant hoses come into contact with Pentosin, clean them thoroughly with water IMMEDIATELY.
-> Replace visibly swollen coolant hoses.

Replacing PDCC reservoir

1. Open the engine compartment.
2. Remove the trim panel on the left. => 700219 Removing and installing front trim (engine compartment)

CAUTION

Contamination caused by fluids

- PDCC system failure

-> Only draw out fluid using a syringe that is used exclusively for Pentosin.
-> The (PDCC) system must never become contaminated by other fluids and dirt.

3. Remove Pentosin from the reservoir using a suitable syringe until the reservoir is virtually empty => Removing Pentosin.

Removing Pentosin

4. Lay a suitable cloth under the PDCC reservoir to prevent emerging Pentosin from getting onto the water lines. Loosen the hose clamps and pull the reservoir off the lines.
5. Fit new reservoir and secure the hoses.
6. Fill the reservoir with Pentosin and check the fluid level. => 430501 Checking fluid level (PDCC)
7. Close the Pentosin reservoir and carefully clean adjacent areas with water.
8. Re-fit the trim panel and close the engine compartment lid. => 700219 Removing and installing front trim (engine compartment)
