Removing And Installing Wiper Shaft

Technical values







Preliminary work
1. Remove cover for rear window wiper shaft.
2. Remove wiper arm.

Removing wiper shaft







1. Carefully unclip the cover using a plastic wedge -arrows A- and remove the cover -arrow B-.







2. Unscrew fastening nut -1-.







3. Unscrew the two fastening nuts -7- for the wiper shaft and the two nuts -8- securing the catch bar. Remove the wiper shaft and/or catch bar.

Installing wiper shaft







1. Tighten wiper shaft using fastening nuts -7-. - Tightening torque: 5.3 ftlb.
2. Position the catch bar and tighten with the fastening nuts -8-. - Tightening torque: 5.3 ftlb.







3. Tighten the fastening nut -1-. - Tightening torque: 13 ftlb.







4. Clip in cover for wiper shaft.

Subsequent work
1. Install wiper arm.
2. Remove cover for rear window wiper shaft.
