Removing And Installing Hall Sender

Preliminary work
1. Remove rear wheel.
Socket-wrench insert P300 should be used to avoid damaging the rims.
2. Remove rear silencer.
3. Remove upper part of heat shield.
3.1. Unscrew two M6 x 12 outer Torx screws (socket insert E10) and remove heat shield.

Removal

Removing hall sender

Hall sender on cylinder bank 1-3:

1. Remove hall sender.
1.1. Pull off cable plug -1- . To do so, press the locking lug and pull the plug downwards.
1.2 Unscrew M6 x 16 inner Torx screw (socket insert T40) -2- .







1.3. Pull out sender -3- .

Hall sender on cylinder bank 4-6:

2. Remove hall sender.
2.1. Pull off cable plug -1- . To do so, press the locking lug and pull the plug downwards.
2.2. Unscrew M6 x 16 inner Torx screw (socket insert T40) -2- .







2.3. Pull out sender -3- .

3. Remove old O-ring -2- on the hall sender.

Installation

Installing hall sender







1. Hold the sender -1- and slide on new O-ring -2- . Grease new O-ring with Kluber Syntheso Glep (Part No. 000.043.204.68).
2. Insert hall sender -3- into cylinder head cover.
2.1. Fit and tighten M6 x 16 inner Torx screw (socket insert T40) -2- . - Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)







2.2. Connect cable plug -1- . Make sure you hear it latching into place and check that it is firmly seated by pulling on it.

Subsequent work
1. Install upper part of heat shield.
1.1. Fit heat shield and screw in and tighten two M6 x 12 outer Torx screws (socket insert E10). - Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)
2. Install rear silencer.
3 Mount rear wheel.
Socket-wrench insert P300 should be used to avoid damaging the rims.
