Removing And Installing Control Unit For Gas Discharge
Preliminary work
1. Remove main headlight.
Removing control unit for gas discharge
Removing main headlight lid
1. Unscrew the four fastening screws -1- on the lid.
2. Release the lid at one attachment point at the top and two at the bottom -a- and remove it from the main headlight.
Removing gas-discharge control unit
1. Unscrew the two fastening screws for the coil -2- and the cable holder -1- and pull out the coil.
2. Press terminal for gas-discharge headlight cable apart and pull out the cable.
3. Unscrew the fastening screw for the control unit -3- and remove the control unit.
4. Carefully release and lever out the electric connector -4- on the control unit using a screwdriver.

Installing gas-discharge control unit
1. Push on electric connector -4- for the gas-discharge control unit until the connector engages securely.
2. Insert the control unit into the lid of the headlight and secure with the fastening screw -3-.
3. Press the gas-discharge headlight cable into the terminal in the lid.
4. Slide on the coil and screw in the fastening screws for the coil -2- and cable holder -1-.
Installing main headlight lid
1. Position lid on the main headlight and press it on. Make sure that the lid engages at one attachment point at the top and at two attachment points at the bottom.
2. Screw in the four fastening screws -1- for the lid.
Subsequent work
1. Install main headlight.
