Checking intake-air distributor for leaks
Tools:
1. Secure rubber sleeve -1- onto throttle housing using the screw-type clamp of the air cleaner housing grommet.

2. Join compressed-air hose to air-spring strut filling unit VAS 6231 WE 1282 and connect to forcing device.
2.1. Subject it to a maximum of 0.8 bar of excess pressure to test the intake system using the test gauge -1-.
2.2. Coat accessible sealing points with commercially available leak-locating spray (e.g. TEGA test spray TPS 674) for easily locating any leaks (bubbling).
2.3. Leaks can also be located at less accessible sealing points from clearly audible noises.
