Removing And Installing Pulse Sender (speed Sender)

Preliminary work

DANGER:
Vehicle can fall down
- Risk of squashing or crushing
- Risk of damage to the vehicle
- Do not place any solid objects under the raised vehicle.
- Ensure that the lifting platform is prevented from lowering.
- Remove solid objects before lowering the vehicle.
- Raise the vehicle only at the take-up points provided.


1. Raise the vehicle.
2. Remove rear underbody panelling.

Removing pulse sender (speed sender)







1. Disconnect cable plug.
1.1. Disconnect cable plug -1- and pull it out of the holder.

2. Remove cable rail and set it aside.







2.1. Unscrew front external Torx screw (M6 x 25) -2- on the cable rail.







2.2. Unscrew rear external Torx screw (M6 x 20) -3- on the cable rail.

3. Remove pulse sender (speed sender).
3.1. Unscrew external Torx screw (M6 x 16) -4- on the pulse sender.
3.2. Remove the pulse sender.

Installing pulse sender (speed sender)







1. Install the pulse sender (speed sender).
1.1. Replace O-ring.
Grease and fit new O-rings with Kluber Syntheso Glep grease (Porsche Part No. 000.043.204.68).
1.2. Fit pulse sender.
1.3. Screw in and tighten external Torx screw (M6 x 16) -4- on the pulse sender.
- Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)

2. Install cable rail.

2.1. Screw in and tighten rear external Torx screw (M6 x 20) -3- on the cable rail.
- Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)







2.2. Screw in and tighten front external Torx screw (M6 x 25) -2- on the cable rail.
- Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)







3. Connect cable plug -1-.

Subsequent work
1. Install rear underbody panelling.
