Removing And Installing Generator

Technical values







Preliminary work
1. Disconnect the battery.
2. Remove air cleaner housing
3. Release drive belt.

INFORMATION: Due to possible damage to the pulley on the hydraulic pump, this must also be removed.

4. Remove pulley on hydraulic pump.

Removing generator







INFORMATION: Body parts can be damaged when you remove the generator. The affected areas must be protected with fabric tape.

1. Stick on fabric tape to protect body parts.







2. Unscrew the two fastening screws -1- and lift the generator up and out.







3. Release and unplug electric connector.







4. Loosen the cap, unscrew the fastening nut -2- for the B+ line and remove the line.

Installing generator
1. Place the generator on the engine, fit the B+ line and tighten the fastening nut -2-. - Tightening torque: 18 Nm (13 ftlb.)







2. Fit the cap.







3. Press in electric connector until it engages securely.







4. Fit the generator from above and screw in the two fastening screws -1-. - Tightening torque: 15 Nm (11 ftlb.)
5. Remove fabric tape.

Subsequent work
1. Install pulley on hydraulic pump.
2. Secure the drive belt.
3. Install air cleaner housing.
4. Connect the battery.
