Crankshaft sensor

NOTE:
- The crankshaft sensor detects too many or not enough tooth flanks of the sensor wheel during starting.

Diagnostic conditions
- Engine start

Possible fault causes
- Weak starter battery under very cold conditions
- Loose contact on connector or line
- Sensor wheel damaged (e.g. burr on tooth)
- Crankshaft sensor incorrectly installed
- Crankshaft sensor loose
- Crankshaft sensor faulty
