Removing And Installing Cover For Suction Fan For Backrest (Air-Conditioned Comfort Seat)

Removing cover for suction fan for backrest







1. Loosen cover for front middle backrest.







1.1. Insert your hand into the top of the cover -1- and disengage it by pulling it up out of the backrest frame -2- (-arrow A-).
1.2. Press cover -1- together slightly at the sides -arrows B- and disengage it.

2. Release intake plenum.







2.1. Fold cover -1- forward slightly at the top -arrow A-.
2.2. Release intake plenum -2- from the air duct -3- by pressing in the locking lugs -arrows B-.

3. Fold up lumbar support -1- (-arrow-).







4. Loosen cover for suction fan.







4.1. Cut tie-wrap -1-.
4.2. Disconnect plug connections for suction fan -2- (-arrows A-).
4.3. Unscrew fastening screws -3- (-arrow B-).

5. Remove cover for suction fan.







5.1. Slide cover for suction fan -1- down slightly -arrow A-.
5.2. Remove cover for suction fan -1- from the cushion carrier -2- (-arrow B-).

Disassembling cover for suction fan

INFORMATION: Only when replacing the suction fan cover.

1. Unscrew fastening screws -1- and remove suction fan for backrest surface -2- (-arrow A-).







2. Press fastening clamps -3- out of the cover for the suction fan -4- using a screwdriver -arrows B-.

Assembling cover for suction fan

INFORMATION: Only when replacing the suction fan cover.

1. Press fastening clamps -3- into the cover for the suction fan -4- (-arrows A-).







2. Position suction fan for backrest surface -2- (-arrow B-) and secure with the fastening screws -1-.

Installing cover for suction fan for backrest

1. Install cover for suction fan.







1.1. Pull wire harness for suction fan through the opening on the cushion carrier.
1.2. Position cover for suction fan -1- on the cushion carrier -2- (-arrow A-) and move it up -arrow B-.

2. Fold up lumbar support -1- (-arrow-).







3. Secure cover for suction fan.







3.1. Tighten fastening screws -3- (-arrow A-).
3.2. Connect plug connection for suction fan -2- (-arrows B-).
3.3. Secure plug connection for suction fan -2- with a tie-wrap -1- on the backrest frame.

INFORMATION: Make sure that the connections are plugged in fully.

4. Lock the intake plenum.







4.1. Fold up cover -1- (-arrow A-).
4.2. Press intake plenum -2- into the air duct -3- (-arrow B-) until the locking lugs lock with an audible click.

5. Secure cover for front middle backrest.







5.1. Press in cover -1- in the middle -arrows A- until the locking lugs at the side engage.
5.2. Engage cover -1- at the top of the backrest frame -2- (-arrow B-).

6. Check that the suction fan for the backrest is functioning correctly.
