Technical values
Preliminary work
Preliminary work for compressor/evaporator line
1. Drain refrigerant.
Removing compressor/evaporator line
1. Unscrew fastening screw -1- for the compressor/evaporator line at the fuel cooler.
2. Pull off air-conditioning line at the fuel cooler and close off the fuel cooler and the compressor/evaporator line with a plug.
3. Remove engine with the air-conditioning compressor installed.
4. Unscrew the fastening nut -2- and fastening screw -3- and remove the crash support -5-.
5. Disengage the engine coolant line from the three holders -4-.
6. Unscrew fastening screw -6- for the compressor/evaporator line at the connection point.
7. Screw on the three cable compartment holders -7-, fold them up and pull the lines out of the rubber mountings.
8. Close off the two air-conditioning line connections for the compressor/evaporator with plugs.
9. Pull air-conditioning line for the compressor/evaporator up out of the engine compartment area.
Installing compressor/evaporator line
1. Guide air-conditioning line for the compressor/evaporator in through the engine compartment area from above.
2. Insert air-conditioning line for the compressor/evaporator into the rubber mountings in the cable compartment -7-.
3. Remove the plugs used to close off the air-conditioning line, replace the O-ring on the refrigerant line and moisten it with refrigerant oil.
4. Join the two air-conditioning lines for the compressor/evaporator and secure them with the fastening screw -6-. - Tightening torque: 23 Nm (17 ftlb.)
5. Insert the two air-conditioning lines into the cable holders -7-, fold the cable holders over and secure them.
6. Engage the engine coolant line in the three holders -4-.
7. Position the crash support -5- on the body and secure with the fastening screw -3- and fastening nut -2-.
8. Install engine with air-conditioning compressor.
9. Moisten the seal for the refrigerant line using refrigerant oil. Position the refrigerant line on the fuel cooler and secure with the fastening screw -1-. - Tightening torque: 23 Nm (17 ftlb.)
