Remove front underbody panel.
Removing front angle sensor for headlight levelling system
1. Hold intermediate link on rotary lever with second open-ended wrench and screw off fastening nut -2-.
2. Push back rubber cover -1- over the electrical plug connection, release electrical plug connection -A- and remove connector from angle sensor.
3. Unscrew fastening screw -3- for angle sensor retaining bracket on side member from below.
4. Remove angle sensor from retaining bracket.
Installing front angle sensor for headlight levelling system
INFORMATION: If the angle sensor has been replaced, the front end control unit must be calibrated; afterwards the headlight setting must be checked and adjusted if necessary.
1. Fasten angle sensor to retaining bracket and secure with fastening screw -3- to the side member.
2. Engage electrical plug connection and pull rubber cover -1- carefully over the plug connection (protects against ingress of water).
3. Engage intermediate link on rotary lever and secure with fastening nut -2-. - Tightening torque: 7 Nm (5 ftlb.)

INFORMATION: If the angle sensor has been replaced, the front end control unit must be calibrated; afterwards the headlight setting must be checked and adjusted if necessary.
1. Install front underbody panel.
2. Connect the Porsche System Tester PIWIS Tester 9718 to the vehicle and start the System Tester. Switch on ignition. >> to continue.
3. Select front end on the control unit, carry out calibration menu.
4. Check headlight setting and adjust if necessary.
